Analysis of the Rock and Roll Phenomenon in USA*

Abstract
There appeared a youth counterculture movement marked by Rock and Roll in USA in the 1960s1, which, due to its rebelliousness, made a great impact on the American society and changed the ideas of a whole generation. But, with the development and infiltration of the American commercial culture, Rock and Roll came to lose the kernel of the rebellious spirit and finally became something on good terms with the mainstream culture.
